Nate advises clean energy developers, data centers, community choice aggregators, public interest organizations, and clean energy trade associations on complex regulatory, transactional, and policy issues in the rapidly evolving energy industry. Drawing on his experience in the state and federal regulatory space, he helps clients achieve their desired outcomes in administrative litigation, rate cases, rulemakings, grid interconnection, transmission planning, and other regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Keyes & Fox, Nate practiced at a large international law firm, where he advised clients in a wide variety of state and federal electric regulatory matters. Before entering private practice, he served as legal and policy advisor to a commissioner at the Illinois Commerce Commission. He also clerked for two administrative law judges at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Office of Administrative Law Judges.
